Recent economic development news for Albuquerque, New Mexico covering the last several months includes:

Schott AG has selected Aluquerque to be the home of a new solar products manufacturing plant.  The 200,000 square foot plant will eventually house up to 1,500 new jobs.  The facility will produce solar photovoltaic modules and reciever tubes for large solar plants worldwide.

Fidelity Investments will open a new operations center.  The center, which will handle human resourses and customer and client services, will eventually employ 1,250 people over the next five years. 

Foamex International Inc., the world’s leading manufactuer of polyurethane foam-based products, will open a new fabrication and distribution center in Albuquerque.  The plant will begin operations in February 2008.
