Economic development news for Charlotte, North Carolina covering the last several months includes -

BAE Systems, which manufactures troop protection products for military use, is expanding its manufacturing plant in Monroe.  The expansion will add 18,000 square feet to the plant.  Up to 42 new jobs will become available after the expansion is complete.

SEKO, a global provider of supply train solutions, recently expanded their Charlotte operation in order to accomodate increased customer demand.  The facility is located near the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.  The expansion will lead to more jobs becoming available soon.

Shaw Power Group plans to expand its headquarters in Charlotte.  THe expansion will add over 550 jobs and will see over $35 million invested into the community over the next five years.
