Economic development updates for Phoenix from recent months include:

Last fall, Amazon.com, Inc. opened a new 600,000 square foot fulfillment center in Phoenix.  The new center will be one of the larger Amazon fulfillment centers in North America.  Over 300 full time jobs were created.

txtNation, a UK based technology solutions provider, has chosen the greater Phoenix area as the location for their North American headquarters.  The compnay plans to have up to 15 employees by the end of the year.

Embraer, an executive jet manufacturer, started construction last summer on a new service center at the Williams Gateway Airport in Phoenix.  The center, scheduled to be completed by mid-2008, will employ up to 60 new people.
