Economic development updates for Seattle from recent months include:

Precor, a fitness equipment manufacturer, has expanded their Woodinville operation.  Woodinville is a suburb of Seattle.  The company currently employs over 500 people at their Woodinville center, with more jobs possibly on the way.

A New York based lending company recently arranged a $684 million dollar construction loan for a large multi-use project in Bellevue.  The project will include retail, office space and condominiums.  Microsoft has already 100 percent preleased two office towers, scheduled to be completed in October 2008.

Supercomputer manufacturer Cray Inc. recently was awarded four military contracts for $30 million.  This order is one of the largest ever for the company.  The Seattle based company will be providing its XT5 supercomputers to military research centers all over the nation.
