Economic development updates for Shreveport from recent months include:

Pratt Industries, a large paper and packaging company based in Australia, is opening a new paper mill in Shreveport.  The mill will recycle paper waste and the fiber from corrugated containers.  Over 150 new jobs will be created by the time the plant opens in December 2008.
