Nick Timiraos has written an interesting piece in the WSJ today about how the multifamily market has driven a lot of the big, institutional investors to the sidelines and opened the playing field for smaller, regional investors.  He notes that Fannie and Freddie have somewhat kept lending alive for smaller apartment projects.

Nice to have a little good news printed to reinforce what we’re seeing in the stronger multifamily markets out there.  Here’s a link to the WSJ article…..
