We’ve been kicking a project around for several months due to an overwhelming number of requests for more information from our readers. We’ve been pulling the project together over the past few weeks in particular, and are ready to begin to talk about it in earnest.
At the request of many of our clients and blog readers, we will begin this month to publish a major compendium of real estate market data. Our working plan at this point in time will be to publish real estate market rankings for 100 key data points, providing the top 20 or 25 markets in each category.
We’ll be posting a list of the specific categories that will be included soon; it will include categories detailing demographic features, lots of detailed employment growth and unemployment data, as well as a host of multifamily and single family ranking data from our internal analysis and ranking systems here at Redfish.
Currently we’re struggling with a couple of issues related to the project – what data not to include (we’re tracking roughly 180 data points in markets around the country right now), and what to call the collection of information.
As the data in our database turns over about every four months, we most likely will be putting out the information three times per year, tentatively in February, June, and October.
We’ll have more information up in the next few days…..
