Economic development updates for Bellingham covering recent months include:

Allegiant Air, LLC expanded their operations in Bellingham early this year.  They have increased the number of flights in and out of Bellingham International Airport, and have based two jets in Bellingham.  Over 80 employees have been hired by the airline.

The second phase of the Bellwether on the Bay project recently received its first major tenant.  Engineering firm CH2M HILL will expand their local staff significantly when they occupy their new location in 2010.
