Economic development updates for Albany covering recent months include:
Fortitech Inc., a manufacturer of nutrient mixes used to add vitamins and minerals to food and drinks, recently purchased land to build a 48,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center. The new center will be located at the nearby Schenectady County Airport.
IBM Corp. recently announced a $1.5 billion investment package for upstate New York that will create at least 1,000 new jobs. Part of the package is expanding IBM’s research facility at the University at Albany’s College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. This expansion will create 325 new jobs.
