Recent economic development news from Albuquerque includes Qwest Communications’ recent (1 August) announcement that it will build a $40 million cybercenter in Albuquerque. The center will allow corporate customers to store computer equipment and backup data in a secure, controlled environment with direct hookups to major communications networks.
HP has chosen Rio Rancho for the site of its new customer service and technical support center. The center will open in 2009 and will create 1,300 or more new jobs.
