Recent economic development news from Cincinnati includes an announcement by the American Screenwriters Association they will relocate to Cincinnati from Los Angeles.  The ASA had also considered New York, Indianapolis, Nashville and Chicago.  Cincinnati was chosen by the group for its cultural diversity, support of the arts, affordability, and accessibility. 

Cincinnati area employers General Electric, Johnson and Johnson, Proctor and Gamble, Macy’s, and Convergys were all named by CollegeGrad.com as among the top 500 entry level employers for 2008. 

BioEnterprise has named Ohio one of the top five in the nation for health care venture capital firms; it is the top state “between the coasts”.
