Economic development updates for Detroit covering recent months include:

Chrysler recently announced plans to expand their Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit.  The 285,000 square foot expansion will replace the current body shop and give the plant greater flexibility in manufacturing.  The expanded plant is scheduled to be operating at full capacity by 2010.  Over 400 jobs will be created.
