Economic development updates for Phoenix covering recent months include:

Hawker Beechcraft Corp., an aircraft manufacturer, will locate a new service and maintenance center in Mesa.  The Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS) center will be built at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.  The first phase of the project will employ up to 60 workers, with plans to grow to over 100 employees in the future.

Locallife, a British internet search firm, is opening a U.S. headquarters in the Scottsdale.  The company provides local information to major search engines and local search directories.  Within the next one to three years, the company plans to hire more than 1,000 employees.  Over the next five years, the company could have over 4,000 employees in the region.
