Economic development updates for Raleigh covering recent months include:

HCL America Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of India’s HCL Technologies Inc., is opening a facility in Raleigh.  The company is a global information technology services firm.  Within five years the company will hire 513 employees.

IBM is building a new data center at its campus in Research Triangle Park.  The new center will include new technologies and will enable IBM to deliver cloud computing capabilities to its clients.  The new center will be the first in the world to be built with IBM’s New Enterprise Data Center design.
