Economic development updates for Iowa City covering recent months include:

Metro Wire and Cable Corporation, a Detroit based company that provides storage and supply services of wire to a variety of markets, is opening a facility in Iowa City.  The 15,000 square foot facility will serve as a storage and distribution center for the company’s Midwestern and Western clients.  The new operation will be the Metro Wire and Cable’s third facility.

International agricultural market research institute The Kleffmann Group is expanding their operation in Iowa City.  The company has been in the market since 2006.  The expansion will include a complete office remodel, new computers and software and a new job training program.  Fifteen new jobs will be created.
