Economic development updates for Longview covering recent months include:

Construction on a new Sysco Foods distribution center near Longview was finished recently.  The center will create 350 new jobs for the area.  Not only will East Texas be served by the center, but Arkansas and Louisiana will as well.

Stallion Oilfield Services is coming to a local business park.  Construction recently began on a 18,000 square foot facility which will house office space and will combine the company’s heavy hauling division and production services division.  Stallion, currently based in Kilgore, Texas, will bring over 120 workers to the area.
