For our next two Daily Data Discussion posts we’re going to stick with multifamily related topics, specifically price per door values for Class B multifamily units across the country.
As we’ve noted before when sharing this information back in the summer, we don’t consider price per door values when computing market rankings using our proprietary Multifamily Market Fundamentals Scoring system.
We do track the data as a matter of interest, and find that clients, managers, investors, and lenders are often interested in the information. The data is provided by the brokers and property managers that we interview in each market, and is averaged when divergent values are reported. It should be noted that the values reported are asking price valuations.
Here are the markets in our database as of today with the highest multifamily Class B price per door values –
1) Syracuse, NY $300,000
2) Sarasota, FL $250,000
3) Palm Bay, FL $225,000
4) Albany, NY $215,000
5) Naples, FL $200,000Database Average: $95,441
Database Median: $75,000
We’ll be back on Monday with a look at the markets around the country with the lowest Class B multifamily price per door values. Have a great weekend.
