Economic development updates for Fort Lauderdale covering recent months include:

Becton, Dickinson and Co. (BD), a medical technology company, is planning to open a new biosciences manufacturing facility in nearby North Miami.  The facility will produce cell culture media supplements that will be used in the production of vaccines and pharmaceuticals.  The move will create over 75 high-paying jobs during the next eight years.
