Recent Economic Development Updates for Salem include:

The Salem area will host yet another solar energy company…SANYO Solar of Oregon broke ground in mid-October on a new manufacturing facility, the sixth new manufacturing facility to come to the area in the last 16 months.  The 130,000 sq. ft. facility will manufacture silicon ingots and should open in October, 2009.  By 2010 the facility should employ 200.
