In yesterday’s Veteran’s Day post, one of my research team dug up a picture of a venerable gentleman, a veteran, to accompany the Veteran’s Day salute.  She found the picture on the website of Eastern Kentucky University’s alumni newsletter, and as it was not copyrighted, grabbed a copy for our post.

To make a long story short – I also posted the picture in a Veteran’s Day salute post that I wrote for a Yellowstone and Montana related fly fishing site.  A physician reading the post from Bozeman (small world) recognized the gentleman in the picture from his childhood, the veteran was his Sunday school teacher from elementary school – Mr. Bill Adams.

The physician was kind enough to do a little research on Mr. Adams, who is still active and living in Richmond, KY today, and provided a touching story of Mr. Adam’s exemplary life. We put the full story up on the fly fishing site - you can read the full post here – there is always some good news out there if you dig for it……

America needs more men and women like Bill Adams…..
