We’ve just posted the state by state employment growth rankings for November on the Free Resources page of the website – download the free PDF here.
As always rankings are provided based on the 6-month rolling average of total non farm employment growth (annualized), provided monthly by the BLS. Data is available through the month of October.
Of interest –
- Wyoming continues to lead the pack with a blistering 2.9% 6-month rolling average of total non farm job growth; they reported a 3.3% growth rate in October.
- The top five states remain Wyoming, Texas, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Louisiana.
- Despite the doom and gloom that you hear in the media, nine states had total non farm employment grow in October as compared to September’s revised values; another eleven states growth rates remained stable from September to October.
- The average of total non farm job growth for all states in October was a sobering -0.2%, and the average 6-month rolling average for all states is 0.2%.
