Economic development updates for Temple covering recent months include:

Fikes Wholesale Inc., a fuel distribution company based in Temple, is building a new headquarters facility.  The 42,000 square foot building should be completed by the fall of 2010.  The company employs over 1,000 people in the state of Texas.

Northland Products Co. is building a new facility in Temple.  The new facility will manufacture lubricating oil and engine coolant and function as a distribution center.  The company is investing $2.5 million to build the 20,000 square foot building.  At this point, it is unclear exactly how many jobs will be created.
