Economic development updates for Detroit covering recent months include:

Accretive Health recently announced plans to expand their operations in Detroit and Kalamazoo.  The company provides revenue cycle management services to hospitals.  The expansions will create over 650 jobs in the two cities in the next five to seven years.

Faurecia, a supplier of Tier 1 automotive components, is expanding their operations in Fraser.  The $8.8 million expansion will create over 80 new jobs at the company.

Global Wind Systems Inc., a wind turbine system manufacturer, is building their first facility in nearby Novi.  The start-up company is expected to create over 350 new jobs within the first few years.
